so i guess every fashion influencer is making listicles where they include "chore coat" as a must have wardrobe staple.
and then it turns out AI is suggesting chore coats and that's where they got it from
and also Palantir (yes, that one) has a chore coat for sale???
@mattly yeah i had bought the Muna and Broad one. Now these were in style for a couple years before Palantir's entry, but the listicle thing is pretty recent
guess i won't be sewing that pattern i bought
Palantir has fashion for the modern war criminal including shirts that say "cowardice kills" but also like fashion brand kinds of things. The coat was $249 and came in blue and black. My computer won't load the site the rest of the way because I have Privacy Badger on which i am not about to turn off
we need a Devil Wears Prada for the ai era i guess
and yes this is just a boxy denim jacket you can wear if you work on a farm or wear to your artisanal bakery

@forestine ugh; as someone who’s been a fan of chore coats for the last ten years and has half a dozen of them, I hate this
(The style is based on classic French workwear and typically includes two front upright patch pockets about waist level meant for tools and whatnot; many more sophisticated designs layer with these some side-entry hand warmer pockets)
