Unless the republican party is removed from power by the voters in the midterm elections, we may be facing a situation where the US will not only support Putin, but may actively ally themselves with him and invoke the law of the jungle, where the strongest have the right to prey mercilessly on the weakest.

China will do nothing (don't interrupt your enemies when they are in the process of weakening themselves) so Europe HAS to stand up and fight back. We are far (very far) from perfect, but at least we are not greedy bloodthirsty monsters with no respect for human life.
