I somewhat dread the (understandable) question of "What made you move to Argentina?". Answering it needs to thread the needle for not being too depressing.
"I don't see a future for (myself in) Europe" is typically not what people want to hear, as thinking about the cost of living, disappearing retirement/health care, rising far-right governments, and impending war isn't fun.
@ligasser yeah, when we had to leave a post-brexit UK it seemed like a good opportunity to explore an alternative! And at least for now I also still regularly get to visit family & friends across Europe.
@gedankenstuecke Because Argentina doesn’t have a rising cost of living, disappearing social security, a far-right government, nor an impending war? 🤨
@dpk unlike many places in Europe it's a place that is a lot less complacent and has never given up on organising political action and mutual aid etc.

@gedankenstuecke Interesting - I actually asked myself this very question about your move, but just thought I missed a post where you explain it :)
I'm happy to know that you found your happiness in Argentina! I still hope that working together with friends who also believe we should be nice to each other is not a revolutionary concept... But looking at the news lately, I definitely see the attraction of moving away!
