if you have the UI mockup the software's 95% done right, you can dash off the stuff behind that in an afternoon right
@davidgerard my dear friend Vilfredo P. would like to have a word with you.
@davidgerard
"Okay Claude, now make it work good. Introduce no bugs and commit no crimes against humanity."
@davidgerard Yes! Especially if the app is a deterministic shortest-possible route planner for delivery drivers. Easy peasy.
@cstross @davidgerard Once that's done you can spend the rest of the afternoon tweaking it to deterministically calculate the optimum way to pack their delivery van so as little space as possible is wasted.
@cstross @davidgerard Sounds like the typical specs, yes. "Screen should look like this", OK... but what should happen if I do anything at all with it?
@jens @davidgerard Well, if you do ANYTHING at all with my deterministic shortest path for the delivery driver, the app should lock solid until the heat death of the universe (it's an NP-hard problem). But we can always hope!
@cstross @davidgerard You can just put that problem on the blockchain to achieve that.
(Heard like that way too often)
@davidgerard people saying this should work with people who say "if you have the backend, making a good ui is an afternoon's work, right". I will stay in the sidelines, crunching on my popcorn.
