oh and portage has pissed me off too many times to count. i didn't realize how incredibly fucking half-assed the entire system of slots and multiple versions was. that's completely fucking inexcusable

@hipsterelectron yea from what ive seen portage is a bunch of hacks thrown together. but like, in a cute way, disaster lesbian style
so i'm very serious about using chimera linux and just completely wiping my gentoo partitions. nothing at all of value will be lost
