Okay, can anyone give me the TL;DR: summary of what the hell happened today? I see talk about a live broadcast of a fucking execution, and I'm not brave enough to go looking for a news article or something because I absolutely do not want to watch that and we all know the fucking news media companies are unhinged, and like to set that shit to auto play and make their sites impossible to read unless you enable scripting.
I just want to know what the fuck is going on without giving myself an extra helping of fucking trauma, please and thank you.

From what I've read;
They have stated that they're going to live stream the execution by firing squad of Nidal Malik Hasan, the gunman from the Fort Hood shooting in 2009.
In theory he could appeal and delay it, but it looks like he wants to be a martyr, so he very well might not.
Currently scheduled for Dec 3rd. Exact details of how and where it'll be broadcast hasn't been made public yet.
