I had a delightful afternoon at Landesmuseum fur Vorgeschicht in Halle. Excellent exhibits, really well curated to tell a story. The sort of thing I really like in a museum. They had exhibits on loan from all over Europe, including 3 from MAN in Madrid. Which had been missing when I visited in August.

Something I love about this museum is they are willing to show the breadth of their collection in some areas.

... rest in a box on a dusty shelf in the back of a basement. But occasionally a museum will put the effort in and show just how ubiquitous a specific item was in the past. When they do. It can look absolutely fantastic.

And for the stone axes there was no glass in front, but if you tried to touch them an alarm went off and a grumpy German came to talk to you. Damhikt.
