@davidgerard The encyclic is long to read. Leaving out the strictly religious stuff, it does say some interesting things about “AI”, in particular about communities of people that decide their future.

I believe one of the main dangers of “AI” is to pin individuals in front of the machine for too long — so that they do not have time to share and build together. It's no surprise that fascists like this: divide and conquer. The community spirit is a threat to their power.
