For October, I thought I'd post a piece of unsolicited advice every day. It must be spooky because grumpy platitudes tend to scare people off.
1. If you find the need to start an email or a text with "I know this is bad form, but..." then don't send it.

3.Telling people you're too fancy for their favorite food/mode of travel/hobby/etc. is not the flex you think it is.

@xabean ha! i had a friend who told me to keep smiling once and then apologized after but it was totally fine! i appreciated his self-awareness, though

2. "Can I pick your brain?" means "Can you do some unpaid consulting for me?" You should at least bring cupcakes. 🧁🧁
