I did not get any preparation for college from my family or school(*) so of the places that offered scholarships I just picked the pretty one that had no greek societies at all and I was grateful the whole time and still am.

* To the point that my guidance counselor guy refused to sign my application fee waiver requests bc despite my test scores and grades I had no business applying to schools I couldn’t afford. This is when I learned about The Ladies who actually make lives work.
Anyway, I hate all of this and I feel comfortable saying my kid should walk around the way around those schools when it’s time for her to apply.
