This morning's #Minecraft singleplayer wins:
* Used the gold from the gold farm I made the other day (yesterday? it's kind of a blur) to barter for three dried ghasts
* Hatched the happy ghasts and named them Eenie, Meenie, and Miney (four stacks of gold ingots did not get me Moe, but I'll keep trying)
* Set up an empty wall of my storage building with villager trading stalls
* Flew Miney out to the nearest village and installed three working villagers and a nitwit in my storage building
I was also most of the way to pacifying a pillager when one of my dogs noticed and killed it. (I think. I've got a source saying it takes five shields, and I was on like my third or fourth.) Still not sure if I'll try again or go for a zombie; all that button-holding is hard on my knuckles.
I've got five more villagers I've already traded with at that village; next step is to bring them home, and then find one more to set up a breeder.
The combination villager breeder and iron farm is complete, and has produced both iron and a new villager. I used #ImpulseSV's design from a few years back, named the zombie Sheffield because I've been watching a lot of TechDifs, and left a trapdoor in place that I can use to switch from iron mode (villagers can see zombie, get scared, summon golems) and breeding mode (villagers can't see zombie, can relax and share food)

oh, and the bartering also got me two Soul Speed books, one of which is now on my boots
The day I built the gold farm, I'd also gone to an ancient city for Swift Sneak (god I don't want to go back, but there are so many more chests!), and found a Silence armor trim in my first chest. (The rarest armor trim. Almost makes up for only finding two Swift Sneak 1 books and waking up like 5 Wardens.) So I'm now wearing diamond armor with Silence in quartz, and it looks very cool.
