For the time being live feeds for local and remote timelines have been disabled for people who are not logged in on mstdn.social, masto.ai or mastodon.coffee
This is to redcure the amount of scraping by bots and LLMs that reforce our instance to redownload older media and bump up the price even more and fast
This change does not change anything for you!
Maybe a tip for other admins also
As a single-instance user, I use a script to fetch the URL of trending posts from some well-known instances every hour, in order to populate my own instance. Does this mean the script would stop working when fetching data from the affected instances?
