This is a major blow to the open web! For as long as I can remember, Reddit has embraced RSS feeds and public API access to users, apps, and developers, allowing the site to thrive. @zackwhittaker Quit reddit last year. Dunno how effective it was to delete all of my posts, but did that too. Haven't missed it. Lemmy let's me pottypost all the same.

@zackwhittaker Did they not already close down the APIs? I quit Reddit when 3rd party apps stopped working. That was awhile ago.
