As I drove to the airport this morning it dawned on me that we have the technology so that your network connected car, when low on fuel, can simply inform the fuel pumps near you that you are low so they can greatly increase the price.
The more you look for an ungouged price the more desperate your plight, and the higher the price becomes.
Nah, that would never happen

People just aren’t going to buy cars that do that
Also by the time someone actually set that up people won’t be buying cars that burn fuel anymore
