@emi @GuerillaOntologist @Matt_Noyes The ones I went to were good. I got to watch comp.coop present, and then got to have dinner with them later, so that was fun.
@Steve @emi @GuerillaOntologist I was at the Denver satellite meeting, which was pretty big, maybe 50 or 60 people? 20%(?) Spanish speaking. Nice for us in CO to see other satellite groups and be seen. There was a terrible echo on the sound from the USFWC live stream, like an alien in an old sci fi film, so I went to the co-op 101 session. Great person presenting, but it was exactly the kind of co-op education I find least useful, really counterproductive. So I went back to the main room (the Spanish-speakers group was listening to the USFWC session). I couldn't take the prospect of trying to watch the proceedings, so I organized an impromptu sharing session in another room. The event was useless as far as any real engagement with USFWC issues goes, but it was good to socialize, including with

@Matt_Noyes @emi @GuerillaOntologist @ntnsndr @daspitzberg The main events were little more than cheerleading, and I didn't stick around for much of them. I did, however, talk with lots of folks, and I handed out eight or nine copies of the journal, which were all I had left.
@Matt_Noyes @emi @GuerillaOntologist @ntnsndr @daspitzberg So, the biggest news from the conference is that MadWorC and NYCNOWC (with active support from VAWC) called an informal meeting to discuss calling for a membership meeting to amend the federation bylaws. There are eight very specific amendments that would go a long way towards restoring transparency and member control. Probably 75 people showed up, and nearly everyone was enthusiastic about it. I also ended up doing solo interpretation for the whole thing, so I don't have very clear memories of it.
@GuerillaOntologist @Matt_Noyes I almost booed him. A few minutes earlier, someone actually did.
Later, a staffer gave a talk on worker ownership, but his slides consistently said "EO."
