The fallout from the eviction of a 87 year old woman, Maricarmen, from her life-long flat in Madrid has really shaken things up here. I'm so glad to see it.

One woman interviewed from the huge protest said:

"Why is it that our governments and our laws give more rights to a tiny few to make profits, but no rights for the majority to have a roof over their heads?Our taxes fund the existence of these governments and legal systems. Something needs to change! We can't keep paying to get fucked."
