Magpies were always good to me (not so some of my classmates in primary school), but I have been swooped by a Noisy Miner.

@jayeless @joannaholman I somehow never even heard about "magpie swooping" being a thing until about 2014 when a cyclist friend explained the weird cable ties on her helmet to me.
A week later I started getting swooped myself, for the first time ever.
I still blame her for this.
@mike It’s the only plausible explanation

@joannaholman I’ve never had a magpie swoop me, despite their reputation! Noisy miners and wattlebirds, on the other hand… 😠
