Do you ever stop and think about how we spend so much of our lives doing housework and life admin and email and trying to live up to our parents' standards and impress our bosses and worrying about our weight and meanwhile we live on a planet where the sky just does this and we're not going to be here forever. And it's not doing this for us, sunsets are just as beautiful whether we're good people or bad people and whether we have good credit scores or clean kitchens.

@afewbugs This, in a nutshell, is why I never iron anything. Life's too short for ironing.
We don't even own an iron.
Not unrelated, hunter-gatherer groups work no more than four hours a day, and keep 100% of the value of their work.
Civilization is a con.
We're having a big storm all weekend and as it was looming ominously last night the sunset was phenomenal. I'm sorry I didn't take a picture but it really was all that.
@afewbugs I sherish the golden hours, when the setting sun bathes the linden trees in warm tones of orange.
Today was one of those days, the sky cleared, we gathered for a barbeque and even the hetchhock babys showed up.
Taking it all in, while we can.
It was and is one of the hardest things in life for me to learn. To not care so much about "things as they should be" as imposed by others.
Taking a moment to just exist is genuinely a treat (provided you can get your inner voice to lay off for a bit) Having a sky like that helps.
Hope you enjoyed it - and continue to wonder in amazement at the things of nature and beings in our world :)
@Aprazeth not caring about the way things "should" be is one of the hardest lessons and one I have to keep relearning, but definitely worth persevering with!
