@kpl @mcc the concept of dog may precede the existence of dog, perhaps. someone may have seen a canine of the wild. and they may have spotted it in the distance. and this may have conjured a feeling of respect, or admiration, or curiosity, and they may have thought to themselves, in the abstract "could this become Dog"
