@niccolove @techm Nah… it’s always some vocal individuals that just really want to stay relevant and will pick anything to hang on to. Been there, done that and don’t care. But I do admit it made me use fedi much less because of that, as I’m just getting to tired of it and the fact that expressing myself could cause an avalanche of this kind of goes against the idea of open and inclusive network. Sure it does not mean allowing harassment, nazis etc but just calling everyone and everything I disagree fascist is just stupid and actually diluting the meaning of the word.

Your situation is very similar and I can’t wrap my head around why is this. I haven’t follow it too much (because I tend to use fedi less these days), but if I’m not mistaken, kde made some policy again/for llm usage (which seems to be the same as pretty much everywhere else in floss world) and some people lost their shit. As a vent, targeted you and are now dissecting everything you ever said to confirm their bias. I would say, as much as I know how hard it is to do it, don’t care about them, just block/silence and move on. There is plenty of cool things on fedi and getting into discussion with people who do not want to discuss things but just impose their point of view, makes no sense.

Keep up the good work. I like to watch your videos and read stuff on fedi. And just like on youtube recently you got plenty of comments about “getting political”, “just talk about software and not politics” from some vocal folks, here you get the same treatment from the same mentality but the other side of the pendulum.

I think the best thing people could do is to cool down have some hot chocolate, and focus their anger on the real enemy and not point guns at their comrades.
