Not enough info... The newer one may have an always on voice monitor. I have a phone that already does that.

You could refresh it by changing the battery AND the band. So it looks like new. The diy price will surprise you.
Or even fix it yourself.

Take your time, use a magnifier.
Get extra gaskets. replacing them is the hard part, and until you get the hang of them, you will mess them up.
but at .45 cents each, you can splurge.
