@amyworrall But the solution isn't to throw it all away, and *especially* not to support the biggest companies out there in their quest to squash everyone, big and little guys, just because it chips away at copyright.

@lina They're not violating copyright according to the law.
Changing the law to allow _less_ fair use seems ... problematic.
@troed If that were settled law this lawsuit wouldn't be ongoing.
(Also, fair use is a US concept, and companies generally don't get to operate, market, and sell globally while only following the laws of one country.)

@lina I'm not a fan of copyright as it's currently implemented.
The _main reason_ I dislike it is because it doesn't protect the little guy — companies with money can afford lawsuits, small creators can’t.
