I'm fed up with incomplete, credulous reporting like this. I sent the email below to the four reporters. To other journalists: please Google TESCREAL before you write the next story about these dangerous nutters in charge of the technological future.

‘With respect, your coverage of Coxon misses the real story. Rationalists are not merely a
"tightknit community of AI safety advocates" and effective altruism is not just "a philosophy
focused on doing good in the world," as you write. They are part of a cult of eugenicists. Please,
please read the work of Timnit Gebru and Emile Torres on TESCREAL -- an acronym including
rationalism and effective altruism -- and the roots of these cult beliefs, their founders (including
Bostrom), and their funders. They have mangled the meaning of "safety" -- not the environment
or economy or education but looney beliefs about selecting the right people to secure the far
future: eugenics. It is odious. And it's not being reported. I wrote about it here and discuss it
