@ernie the part I don't really understand with this service is if he somehow acquired the Dejanews backup. it is suspiciously identical to google's (dejanews-based) usenet archive for many, many articles
@vga256 He was admittedly vague in terms of how he gathered this content. I can ask him if the DejaNews archive was a part of it.

@ernie @tedium gonna have to look through this - I used Google Groups to do research for a video, and the lack of any meaningful filtering or sorting (not even "within date range"!) was so brutal
