Omarchy is part of new fascism. But it's also a good case study about how little political resilience is built into FLOSS: The libertarian roots have not only made the whole movement ready for the taking by corporations but also by fascists.
And sadly many influential organizations in that space are not up to the task for putting their foot down.

The F/OSS movement is full of people who think legal documents are magic pixie dust that will cause community behaviours. In reality, they are things that work for handling outliers when community norms are aligned with incentives and there is broad agreement on what those norms should be.
Until that's addressed, the most likely response is an AGPLv4 with the 'no fascists or other meanies' clause that no one can afford to enforce, adopted by projects that economically incentivise fascist behaviour and have community norms that do nothing to discourage them.
