@VogueLaGalere Why do you ask? Are you interested in donating to the instance I use? My suggestion is that you donate to the instance YOU use. I suggest you inquire with them directly if you have concerns about their finances. (I have no concerns about the finances of mine.)

what do people think of the npr/ pbs funding model?
individual donations but also, assuming the sponsors were screened for not being shitty companies, like they get a shout out for their big donation on the sidebar or something
i mean it's been working for decades for pbs and npr and no one is grabbing their pitchforks over that. i know some will, someone will always grab their outrage pitchforks about any change, no matter good bad or meh. but shit needs to get paid
