Definitely a very profound and timely observation. It reminds me of Fukuyama's theory of political decay, which might easily apply here. For my part, a strong encouraging to further pursue the topic.

@Sheril yes on the unique perspective. It seems like a very important topic today and I can't think of anyone who would be more qualified to write this. I hope the book gets written and the right people read it.
Because today is largest tech companies or all control by genocidal cult, for whom technology is the disruption to politics, in other words, it’s the tool for their totalitarian rule. The reason why it’s struggling is they deliberately destroy democracy because they consider our sovereignty obsolete

@Sheril in modern western societies, where governments are run by private interests, presidents kneel for the highest bidder and society worships a new religion - technology ... and all of it is wrapped in a fantasy of ever-increasing profits ... i think your book idea is great, but i doubt that such a transformation would improve much. i realize my point is extreme, but i've come to believe that we need to go back to the drawing board, i think we screwed up this democracy thing.
