I hit the public transport price cap on Thursday, apparently.

Ferry workers are "striking" until October 6th.
All Sydney ferries (except a couple of privately operated ones) are facing industrial action consisting of workers turning off the Tap-on/Tap-off machines. This means ferries run for free to customers, pressuring bosses to negotiate a fair contract with workers.
"No tappies!" the workers yell at you as you enter the ferry terminal.

@pezmico that is a clever way to strike which doesn't upset your customers. Public transport shutdowns are deeply unpopular (in places which have enough for anyone to notice....)
@pezmico Distressing to see that (a) we still have to mask-up in 3026, and (b) civilisations have risen and fallen, but Nike is still going strong.
You're allowed to compensate and isn't coordinated public transport wonderful.
