@rbreich Of course it is, but that doesn't mean we should take the lunatic ravings of an industry of Kool-Aid drinkers who think Terminator 2 was a documentary seriously.
There are plenty of reasons to rein in the AI industry. The threat of Fancy Autocomplete turning into a real boy isn't one of them.
@rbreich It's been "six months until..." for almost four years now. How could anyone, much less some nerd from Anthropic, quantify the chances of something like that? What precise calculation ends in an equals sign and "10%"?
Tell me when you have something real to show me *TODAY* and then maybe I'll start losing sleep over it.
