On Sept 11th, I think about Cindy Cohn's description of what it was like to come into work at EFF on September 12th, knowing that everything positive she had hoped to achieve was now on hold and we were in for several desperate years of playing defense.

@mattblaze I think this is to the credit of the many people who fought like hell to keep that from happening. Still is.
