@rysiek i am perhaps overly fond of semantic markup

and a few bits in here are really nice, like select, model, and focus groups

but a lot of this is duplicating javascript or CSS functionality

HTML needs to support methods in forms aside from POST/GET and stop messing with weird custom elements

@rysiek Oh that's definitely where browsers are going / have gone.

It turns out "networking and a sandbox for code from remote sources as primitives" were incredibly valuable killer features no OS had really tackled... So much so that we started turning the browser into an OS.

We had an, arguably, better framework to do this in... But it was Flash, it was owned by one company, and Apple killed it by refusing to support it on their closed architecture.
