@wizardneedsfood It feels less jarring to me, but I totally see where you're coming from: I guess my idiolect of British English does this exact thing of understating praise (overly full throated praise can come across as less sincere than a slightly understated approval to a certain English mindset I guess).
@JubalBarca that makes sense! it does just feel odd to to me. i'm not upset, but i like specificity and got confused by that
maybe i'm a bit autistic and take this too literally, but i don't see how "pretty good" could equate to "goty," haha
