Why are field trips reserved only for schoolchildren?
Wouldn't we all benefit from an educational visit to a museum, fish hatchery, or haunted forest instead of being at work today?

@afewbugs @Edmonds_Scanner Oh, this. Recently we've been on a "bat walk" (conplete with personal bat detectors) and learned all about salt marshes on Anglesey, courtesy of the North Wales Wildlife Trust. Strong recommend! https://www.northwaleswildlifetrust.org.uk
2 grown-up field trips that STILL have an impact:
Toured the world's largest sewage treatment plant (Stikney, IL)
The pump room is literally the noisiest place I've ever been. (And I've MADE some very noisy places; I swear my cells were quaking.)
Toured Chicago's water-treatment plant.
The room full of rock-pools is the most serene place in the city. (Absolutely closed to all public access after 9/11.)
@Edmonds_Scanner They're sometimes called "corporate retreats" and "business outings for team-building exercises" I think.
