No I mean if it were up to me the kid would walk because fascism is an existential safety threat to all of society. The reality is that the shooting, while shocking and more than a little corrosive to the political environment, probably saved a LOT of lives in the long run. Thus I would not be able to vote to convict, any more than I could convict a guy who saw a murder in progress and got the would-be murderer first. It's not something you WANT to happen, but also I'm not about pretend mate.
