Every few years I am struck by the urge to write fiction: I make up a bunch of weird little guys, give them problems, and then wander off.

@monsieuricon I have written so many drafts and so few endings.
In my defense, I did write an ending, once. Problem is, I still have to trim almost 300K words of drivel to something readable and coherent. Haven't touched the manuscript in years.
