Guess who is lying here? Organic Maps binary files are free and have always been free. The license only requires proper attribution, in the same way that using Wikipedia or OpenStreetMap.org data requires proper attribution.

@organicmaps I thought F-Droid said this would be resolved in the latest update because you guys would start allowing user-chosen maps download endpoints or something.

@organicmaps @sapash looking through that ticket, I think one aspect that might be doubtful is "No White-Labeling or Branding Removal".
It seems similar to the situation with OnlyOffice.
While attribution can be imposed, I believe not letting one remove branding is not in line with the four freedoms.

Looks like someone named Alexander Borsuk (who appears to be the one representing Organic Maps' point of view) decided to end the discussion early by misrepresenting the other side's argument.
If you want change, don't end negotiations before a solution has been found.
@organicmaps yeah sure stopped trusting anything you said from the moment comaps had to emerge due to your hidden advertising links (like Kayak coupons) that nobody had agreed to, or your Secret Google tracking (Firebase) .
