If you need multi-platform support beyond what Apple Passwords supports, personally, I would check out Bitwarden. Very cross-platform with standalone apps, but those apps try to integrate nicely into the systems they run on.
@rmondello From my experience though their Safari integration is awful, I wish they would have a proper password extension instead of the JavaScript trickery that breaks half the time...
@rmondello Apple passwords serves my needs but I’d like to upload docs like passport/insurance information, etc. I’ve aware of Uplock but would prefer an Apple solution (also, it’d be free). Would a “locked” Apple Note with be the best route there for those sorts of items? I’m assuming it’s E2E and all that, especially with advanced data protection turned on?
@ashah How about a folder in iCloud Drive? Consider your threat model and research the properties of these options with Advanced Data Protection enabled.
@rmondello Wow I'm an idiot. I had no idea the folders were also E2E. That's so much easier. Thank you, you're the best. This is why I'm so glad I asked!! lol
I don't really have any threat as I'm a nobody and have zero online importance but I just like the feature in practice. I do have multiple recovery contacts though that I deeply trust (spouse/parents).
