It's hard to stop other from introducing LLMs everywhere, maybe even impossible. But that doesn't mean that you can't do anything.
The first important step is to publicly say "NO", to refuse to participate. Even if you might need some software that's slopified, make your personal choices heard. Be vocal.
The best way to show people that another world is possible is by creating it. Even if just for your small community.

One of the first things collaborators say is "the evil cannot be stopped so we must live with it and stop fighting it".
@tante what also helps is to change vocabulary if you are already forced to use LLMs. Every time it "hallucinates" I am saying they make Errors instead. Hallucination implies that LLM are sentient, Errors imply that they are stupid, malfunction Machines (that you cannot really debug).
Wording is a good way to reframe things.

@tante I know not everybody is gonna like this, but I think LLMs can be useful.
Obviously I don’t like having them shoved everywhere, I must be able to choose where I want them and how. It can be useful to have AI help me fix a problem on my server, but I don’t want it to have direct access to the server, I just want it to know what I share with it.
