i'm pissed off that Coyote vs. Acme actually looks sooo fucking fun. like it looks like such a unique and funny concept that, by all accounts, was pulled off really well. it seems like it's probably really good. and the reason that pisses me off is that it's a movie so i'm not going to watch it

@katrani "what if acme was a real corporation instead of just a faceless, arbitrary way for us to give wile e coyote shitty gadgets" feels like it could so easily have been a "han solo is called that because when they asked him for the names of everyone on his team he said 'han, solo'" kind of movie, but it really seems like they extended the "lore" here only in the most faithful way possible. it wasn't done because someone asked "what is acme? what are they about?", it was done for the needs of a genuinely really interesting and funny plot about the coyote trying to get compensated for decades of cartoon abuse

I wish I could appease that feeling but unfortunately, it was in fact a very fun movie. Lots of heart- like you had standard Looney Tunes bits but they were properly worked in, didn't feel like going down a checklist at all
