In my flat in West London, fiber optics doesn't seem to be anywhere close to happening.

@slightlyoff France is famously very good at this, beaten in average speed only by places with significant population density advantages (Singapore, UAE, and Hong Kong), but I don't know what they did right compared to comparable neighbours like the UK or (even worse) Germany.

@slightlyoff year after year I heard those stories about condos in Paris, but man also in rural areas.
@Migueldeicaza It's funny to me that Americans still have a cultural memory of social democratic systems being nominally more corrupt and dysfunctional while Comcast and UnitedHealth continue to exist.
