Dear Big Tech, If you value my privacy why do you share my data with 1566 partners?
@Tutanota Well, they estimated its value, and it’s negative for them.
@Tutanota that’s either the wall street journal or vogue magazine.
@Tutanota they do value your privacy a great deal, can you give them more of it please?
@Tutanota We value your privacy so much that we want 1566 of our closest friends to enjoy it too!
@Tutanota
well, you know what happend if you refuse optional cookies?
A lot of cookies are still uploaded in your browser and none of them are strictly essential to the site to work.
Check it yourself using PrivacyBadger ( https://privacybadger.org/ ): it avoids cookie setting BUT tells you the site is trying to install them.
@Tutanota This might even be different if "partners" didn't always mean "a loose coalition of customers and spies buying your data".
@Tutanota Because it's valued in dollars and cents.
@Tutanota I have seen even bigger numbers that that.
@Tutanota And obviously Iubenda doesn’t offer a simple “Reject all” button.
And obviously Iubenda is what most websites use.
@Tutanota I would also ask: if there is the option of "legitimate interest", should I consider the rest of the options as illegitimate?
@Tutanota an official website of Polish train service provider, over 1700. It's bad when private companies and big tech do it, but when it's done by something that should be a public service it's even worse
@Tutanota "Your privacy is valuable to us. Mostly because we can sell it."
