I was researching domain name censorship trying to understand what names I could recommend to people now realizing that .org is not safe. I discovered that the Canadian Internet Registration Authority confiscated a `.ca` from https://boycottindigobooks.com over bogus parody claims.

@liaizon the UDRP and any bastard child it has ever had, such as the CDRP has always been much worse than whatever nonsense a corrupt government could always do (capitalists gonna capitalist after all).

The process has been used by many companies to successfully reverse hijack a domain name, so it's not really unique to CIRA in this type of situation.
I don't know if you got to it yet, .is is a good one to look at. Iceland has fairly robust publication laws (probably best to host it in Iceland though - see ADL vs 1984.is https://litigation.1984.hosting/), ISNIC still do occasionally suspend domains, some obviously illegal and others questionably
