It's my birthday today, so here's the age-matched bit of bibliomantic finger-pointing I got from Sappho this morning (fragment 51, as translated by Anne Carson). I guess I need to decide what to do with myself this year!

@handmade_ghost happy birthday from my photo library’s first result for “pelican”.

Some interesting shaped drift wood that maybe in the subtly crafted algorithms of apple’s photo app look like a pelican, but if so they didn’t ask themselves why a kingfisher is perched on a pelican.
