... Hang the fuck on, is this datasheet seriously telling me that the SPI clock can be up to like 100MHz?! (the very last page, T(wc) = 10ns). That certainly changes things…

*maths* Ok in theory if this really can reach 100MHz SPI clock rate, that bumps up the frame rate to just a hair under 6FPS for RGB-565 at 128*8192 resolution. That might even be good enough!
And also a shade under 8FPS for RGB-444
