it’s fucked how this is essentially free pre-IPO pr noises
all these people belong in jail
this was kicking around like a day ago
my reading: openai trained gpt-5.6 (said training likely took weeks), then got caught with their pants down (anthropic releasing mythic fables), and then went “oh christ shit fuck, we need our own splash too!”
also please pay attention to the fucking *duration* on those messages
but we’re supposed to believe “AGI now”
I have the feeling that (at least for Claude/Anthropic) often times they only pretend that it's working when in reality it's just waiting for computing capacity on their GPUs (or so).
(In some UIs you can see the token count increasing while it's "thinking"/reasoning, and often times I have to wait for a minute or so while the token count remains at 0, until the token count actually starts going up.)
