I knew it was bad out there but it’s crazy how bad this level of invasion of privacy is; mapping and pinging your entire home network, and storing results for later transmission even *before* you agree to anything but connecting the Wi-Fi 😬 https://youtu.be/6IFVTcM28KA
@garretpolk but because it’s the AI and advertising industries doing it it’s normal
the idea that LG probably have a decent idea of how often you’re home, and worse, *who* is home at any given point from getting Wi-Fi access on, no matter what, is just completely reprehensible; this needs to be outlawed and with conglomerate-destroying consequences. globally.
LG straight-up built the “mister wayne if you choose to use this I cannot continue to work for you” machine for script kiddie hackers worldwide, through gross profit-seeking from your data negligence (and of course greed)
boycott LG products (esp. with Wi-Fi) and for good measure if you own them, ban them from your network as soon as you can
and further, destroy surveillance capitalism in all its forms, ban arbitration clauses, outlaw the AI industry, then destroy this predatory data-collection behaviour, this vertically integrates (literally) them all
@ticky If malware did this it would make the news. It should make the news (normie news).
