1. Copyright can only be held by natural persons.
2. Copyright is non-transferable (including after death (sorry, estates)).
3. License for distribution can only be offered under strict limits (e.g. Amazon could ask to license your film for distribution, but they would be prohibited by law for asking for a duration longer than, lets say, one year)
4. License for use, however, can be for unlimited time (e.g. You can offer me a license to read your book that lasts for my life).

1, 2, and 3 are attempts to honor the labor and efforts of the creators, while simultaneously sharply curtailing the leverage and ownership large corporations have on our culture, commons, and the creators that actually do the work. 4 just seems like a practical thing.
