"Thank you for your attention to this matter." has become associated with idiots and lies. Best not to ever use it.

@lauren I use it all the time at work. It helps me discover who among my coworkers is MAGA. I can then apply the techniques from the 1944 OSS "Simple Sabotage Field Manual".
"Thank you for your attention to this matter" is another example of people saying "thank you" when they mean "please", with the addition of the (rather arrogant) assumption that the listener will comply with the implicit request.
"Please pay attention to this matter" --> "Thank you for your attention to this matter"
"Please do not smoke here" --> "Thank you for not smoking here"
etc.
I have not yet had a bowel movement today. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Wait, that's not a lie, so does that make me... Oh, no.

@lauren It shows what kind of individual has sent the message - it makes for good labeling of idiots.
I think that’s why the phrase gets used satirically and ironically.
