When someone you've known for years and years and thought was quite sensible really, says 'Musk is great because he's a free speech absolutist...' I mean, what do you do with that?

@FreakyFwoof I'd just be neutral, because while I obviously don't like a lot of the shit Musk has done over the years, he's not like the Fediverse purists who say that you're a bad person for being on X, like its a crime against humanity or some extremist shit.

@fireborn Allegedly, but with how fucked up mainstream media is these days, they'll interpret anything as some fucked up shit, like why the fuck anyone would do the nazi salute, I can't remember what it was that I read where it turned out that it wasn't a nazi salute but some other gesture that got taken out of context. But what should I expect from media that will avoid the corruption of the government even though its happening right in front of our damn faces. I could go on a full on rant on how fucked up society is, but I won't, all I'll say is we're living through a global environmental, social, economical and social collapse. @FreakyFwoof

Oh and notice the little reference at the end there, I ended up referencing a line from Portal 2, and unfortunately its coming true, we are definitely witnessing the degradation of society, and you have the people on the left who pull their nonsense, and the people on the right doing their thing, and its basically getting us no where, that's why those of us on the centre are just like fuck all of the sides, wwe should be neutral and not taking one stance or the other. @fireborn

Read the people that were there. Read the articles from the people that saw it, know what it was, grew up having to see it, and sometimes even do it to stay alive... It was purposeful, it was nazi, it was a solute.
