this is the change that broke my fucking usb-c port two months ago https://github.com/USBGuard/usbguard/compare/usbguard-0.6.2...usbguard-0.7.0 you'll note on top of openly and blatantly breaking usb hubs they also start using different compilers for C and C++ code. hate this fucker so much

i didn't understand why all the udev rules are only in /lib/udev/rules.d/ and not in /etc/udev/rules.d/ which is where lennart tells you to write udev rules in and i realized that's because all those udev rules are either from systemd itself or other packages who (by virtue of being arch linux distro packagers) are better than you and deserve to write into the hallowed halls of /lib
udev rules very obviously should not be in /lib this shit is so fucking contrived

i should do a kde connect that doesn't backdoor the user that would be slick
randomly just remembered one time when i idly mentioned to someone else working on pants who sucks how gnu has the policy of bumping the copyright year range when they modify a file (which i think is actually a really cute way to genuinely just summarize when the work was done, to give the reader an idea of whether the code in that file is stable) because it would be a great example of something an introspective build tool could do really well and it would be more appropriate than doing it in a text editor. and they started acting like i had proposed we institute the same policy for some reason instead of being a novel and interesting remark about what made our system so special and widely applicable
dude was a senior eng a decade older than me everyone was so fucking terrible to me because i genuinely loved the idea of solving boring infrastructural problems and it made them feel insecure.

it is possible that somehow the KDE clipboard is related to the fucking GUI stack since i think they just upgraded to qt6 everywhere but fuck idk. wil take a detour to rebuild emacs
